Heart Disease is one leading cause of death in many countries beside cancer. There are two major types heart disease. One is due to inflammatory response in the veins. This type of heart disease includes strokes and artheriosceloris (hardening of artheries). The other one is due to weak function of the heart muscle, such as heart failure.

Symptoms
The symptoms of heart disease are coldness at fingers and toes, high blood pressure, hardening of heart arteries, and expended veins.

Risk factors for heart disease are:
- Family history
- Obesity
- Imbalanced diet
- Sedentary lifestyle
- Smoking
- Hypertension
- Insulin resistance
- Alcohol consumption

Causes
- Oxidation of LDL cholesterol in the blood.
- Low level of HDL cholesterol in the blood.
- High level of triglyceride.
- High homocysteine level.
- High level of stress.

Prevention
- Practice ESSENCE of Health
- Regularly monitor the lipid profile and the level of CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
- Consume Omega-3 fish oil to maintain healthy range of LDL cholesterol and triglyceride.
- Consume calcium and magnesium to help maintaining cardiomuscular functions, e.g. heart beat.
- Consume vitamin B-Complex to enhance body's endurance towards stress and to maintain the level of homocysteine.
- Supplement with good network of antioxidants, especially vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 (coQ10).
